While only select models like the Audi R8 Plus (Pre-Facelift) and the Audi R8 Carbon Black Edition (Facelift) came with carbon fibre side blades as standard, most models were equipped with painted blades that lacked the true supercar appeal. Our carbon fibre side blades offer an affordable and stunning alternative to the genuine Audi set

The Skinning / Laminating Process

Our set of side blades are made from OEM genuine Audi parts. We buy in the original 4-pieces and re-manufacture them into a carbon part. The process is called lamination or “skinning” which infuses genuine carbon onto the existing part. The process is arguably more complex and involved than producing a part from scratch but what you are left with is a carbon fibre part with OEM Audi fitment. We have developed a proprietary method to ensure an OEM level of finish and longevity via a curing and baking process and using only the high quality materials money can buy.

The side blades once manufactured are finished off in a high gloss lacquer (with a high UV protection), after which the carbon is hand polished and sealed in with a very high carnauba content wax, supplied by our partner Race Glaze that gives both depth and protection.

Coloured Finishes

Whilst all our parts are finished in the highest grade German 2K lacquer with an advanced UV protection it’s now possible to add a coloured finish / tint to your carbon fibre to make it even more unique to you and your vehicle. There is a whole range of colours available that can be used to finish your parts. Please note that this is an additional cost in doing this.
