The splitter is baked under immense pressure to give a very uniform and pin-hole free finish. With this being cured at high temps, it ensures longevity of the overall product. The rear wing is then finished in a UV, high gloss lacquer before being hand and machined polished and being treated to a high content carnauba wax from our partners Race Glaze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eInstallation\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are two scenarios for installation of this wing to your vehicle. It depends on your current setup and if you currently have a fixed rear wing installed or the automatic rear lip that deploys over a certain speed. We’ve outlined the different procedures below:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDeployable rear lip\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e– If you have this setup then you will be required to install the Genuine Audi rear wing kit. This is an optional extra available to purchase from us (For supply only or installation by us). This allows you to install our carbon fibre wing as per factory that then is secured to the chassis as per factory. If you don’t wish to install this additional kit then the wing can be installed with screws to this panel (Once the rear lip has been coded out) but we do not recommend this method nor guarantee it and you proceed at your own risk. The mounting kit utilises all Genuine Audi parts and the main body panel will be colour coded to your vehicle (Please ensure you provide us with your VIN Number and colour code when ordering)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eFixed Rear Wing\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e– If you currently have the rear wing installed then it’s a case of removing your existing setup and installing the GT version in it’s place.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDue to the Premium nature of these parts we highly recommend that this kit is installed by a professional bodyshop with experience with the Audi R8 Facelift platform.
